A "young lioness" is how I like to think of myself. I believe I'm supposed to make a difference and help change the face of fashion, and modeling. Being petite is challenging when it comes to runway and a lot of commercial jobs, but I believe the right person with the right skills can open so many doors. I've been told that I have the "it" factor by many people. I never knew exactly what "it" was but I know there's something different about me that people are drawn to. I want to be innovative and versatile. I would love to wear many different hats.

My purpose for joining Model Mayhem is to gain some exposure, meet awesome models, MUA's, and photographers. I want to connect with people who have much more experience with the industry and who want to help me grow.

I am currently running a fashion blog @yahzsheezfierce and working with a company called We Do Fashion @wedofashion. They are Canada based, but have broadened their sites to Atlanta, GA. Getting every day people involved in fashion is very important to me because everyone has style. When you look your best you preform your best is what I believe.

I'm also a first year student at American Intercontinental University, Dunwoody in Atlanta, GA. I major in Fashion Design and I'm also taking dual courses in Business. I'm excited about all of the new avenues I'm going down.

I moved from South Carolina by myself to go back to school. It was a big step, but I'm glad I had the courage to take it. I have so many people counting on me to do well and I just don't want to fail. That would definitely be my biggest fear. Sometimes things don't always go as planned, but with faith and someone to support you things can become bigger than you ever imagined. Holding on to your dreams no matter what is important.

My ultimate goal is to one day design shoes. My biggest influences are Christian Louboutin whom I call the "shoe gawd", Alexander McQueen (RIP), and Betsy Johnson. They all have outspoken and unique styles that I've always admired. I love abstract things. I tend to think outside the box a lot and I love metaphors. I hope that one day my love for things unseen and new will help me reshape the fashion world and of course contribute to the amazing styles we already know and love.
