MY ARTIST STATEMENT

I grew up among healers and doers, people from all walks of life, in a developing Asian country. My mother was a nurse turned physician. My dad was a heart physician with long-term vision. People, situations and relationships were my family's art. Surrounded by all kinds of human situations -- from cradle to the grave, of joy and pain, death and life, love and hatred, of gain and loss, the highlights and the shadows of my family's influences and interventions are there for better or worse, in the people we've come in contact with.

Migrating to Northern California, with nature and architecture both in harmony and in contrast, I've raised children, started and stopped a marriage, applied myself from the various hues that can come from a Physician, Nursing, MBA education and training.

My photography and visual arts highlight the triangle and dynamics of human relationships: connections with oneself, with others, and with the environment or milieu. Whether it is a wedding, portrait, event, photojournalistic piece, or nude image, my art expresses my search for meaning in these memorable moments. I value efficiency and effectiveness of communicating messages and values to a target audience. My photography and visual art is my key to life's secret garden, my way down the rabbit hole, my looking glass. I value the expression of transformational principles --inspiring, healing, and challenging the viewer to live and love meaningfully.

My super ordinate goal is that you touch others in the way my art has touched you.

My photography is as varied as my talents, focusing on Portraits, Weddings, Fashion, Events, Art Nudes, Body Painting, and Underwater Photography. I'm here at MM looking for people with similar passions.

If my schedule permits, I usually have one or two days in a month reserved for shooting pictures for new or experienced models who are looking to expand their portfolio TFP/TFCD, more so if you'd like to try wedding portraits (can you fit in a size 6 or 8 wedding gown?), body-painting, and underwater shots (Can you hold your breath?!). I shoot high quality photos. My studio is located in Santa Rosa, CA.
