Stanboi ‘’the African Child’’ real name Stanley Kibale is an American based R&B/Pop singer that hails from the East African country of Tanzania. Born and raised in the city of Dar El Salaam, Tanzania, Stanboi started singing in a choir at a young age where he discovered his passion or music. From a young age he had dreams and aspirations of being an international superstar, so he began cultivating a work ethic that would eventually allow him to create a following in his home of Tanzania. With influences like R.Kelly, Usher, 2pac, Wyclef Jean, Akon & Snoop Dogg, Stanboi delivers a harmonic sound with sweet melodies and captivating lyrics. The release of his first single ‘’Take you Out’’ a song about an amazing date night with a beautiful woman, sparked his career in the United States as it was played on the Wichita, KS Power 93.9 radio station for over 4 weeks in 2010. The single began to create an immense buzz for Stanboi as he was featured on over 60 online music & lifestyle blogs including teentz.com, eastafricantube.com, gbongoradio.com, djchoka.com, sautizabongo.com and more. Radio stations online and in his home of Tanzania as well as other East African countries like Kenya and Uganda picked up ‘’Take You Out’’ and the song instantly became a smash hit online and in East Africa. This allowed Stanboi to gain expsoure that would allow him to perform alongside music industry artists Chamillionaire, Omarion, Hurricane Chris, Kreayshawn, Baby Bash, Mann, Mims and most recently Dance hall Superstar Sean Paul. With such a great reception by the fans, Stanboi embarked on a US Tour which included cities like Dallas TX, Houston, TX Minneapolis, MN, Chicago, IL and more. Stanboi released his second single ”Round and Round” in November 2011 which takes a different approach from ”Take you out”. Released to a great reception, Stanboi uses his life experiences and sweet melodies to touch on the trials and tribulations of life, friendship and loyalty as an upcoming artist. Stanboi is currently finishing up his debut project ”Thoughts of An African Child” Vol 1 the EP which will be the first installment of a trilogy of EP’s that will be released in fall 2012.
