Richard Fischer

I am Richard, a.k.a. Mr. Wizard, the owner of Mr. Wizard's Billet Creations. We specialize in the custom manufacturing of whatever the customer desires from solid billets of different materials.

I have been involved in doing photography, both commercial studio and nature since I was only 10 years old when my father introduced and taught me how to take pictures of the cutting tools he manufactured in our family's business. While attending high school at Lake Forest Academy my interest in photography grew significantly when I started taking sports photos for the in school news service (being a private school the local newspapers didn't tend to cover our schools sporting events) and writing about the different sporting events such as soccor, lacrosse, swimming, tennis, and baseball. During this time for the very first time I had access to a fully equipped black and white darkroom in which I spent many study hall hours and evenings working in on both material for the school and my own personal photos. I am proud to say that I have had my sports photos as well as articles published in many of the local papers at that time (1981-1984).

My primary purpose here will be to display various photos of items I have manufactured or are in the process of manufacturing in order to hear feedback from members with regards to how I can improve my techniques.
