О себе
Hiya, folks. The name's Dan Frioli. Rhymes with "ravioli." If you still can't pronounce it, "Danny Beans" will do just fine.
I'm a photographer, cook, musician, jack of all trades and freelance bum who's looking to meet interesting people, take great pictures, and maybe make a buck or two in the process. I have years of experience in both traditional portraiture and fine art/nature photography, which I combine with a minimalist approach for an organic, natural feel.
Okay, so that's a very pretentious way of saying that my very favorite kind of shoot is just me, a subject, and a camera, without the truckload of other equipment that seems so vital these days. I'm happy working just about anywhere, though I do have access to a studio should the need arise. It's not fancy, it's not glamorous, but I've gotten some good pictures out of it so far.
In a complete contradiction to what I just said, I also enjoy playing with unusual lighting - you can see a few examples in my portfolio. I take an inordinate amount of pride in the fact that all my effects are created in the studio, rather than on a computer. When you look at my effect photography, you're seeing what the camera saw.
Please don't contact me asking me to pay you for a shoot. I'm happy to work TF (schedule permitting), but do ask for gas money if I have to drive more than 35 miles to get to you.
I've also done some acting and modeling myself, and have a model page set up here on the Mayhem: #2804753 (pending approval).
With that, I leave you with these words:
"One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important." - Bertrand Russell
Says it all, really.
