About Me
Welcome to my little corner of iStudio!
My name is James and I will be your tour guide during your visit.
Firstly a little about myself and why I am here.
I got into photography at a young age, have enjoyed snapping away photos of anything and everything since I was about 9 or 10 years old, over the years I have progressed from using Polaroid cameras and your typical 35mm family camera from back in the 80's and 90's, to various forms of digital camera, personally as much as everyone raves about film cameras and I do love them, I prefer digital purely for the advantages it gives me in terms of speed, cost and the ability to play around more without worrying how many shots I am taking or making every shot count, I do get a little snap happy at times.
Several years ago I took my hobby with photography and started working on it as more of a passion, and whilst still being in the early stages with lots to learn I very much enjoy getting creative with the camera or even with the computer for digital edits.
I recently started a small photo and video service as a side job, doing everything from casual portraits and head shots through to artistic and erotic shots, and a wide range of everything else in between both in photo and video. This venture is still in its early stages of development but I hope that in a few years time with a lot of hard work, many improvements with equipment and possibly even some more education on top of lots of practice and creative projects that I can perfect my skills and maybe take the business further, but for now it is more of a passionate hobby with potential.
Some of my favorite things to shoot are landscapes and buildings, especially old rundown places with lots of mystery and atmosphere about them, I also greatly enjoy any form of artistic/creative nude or semi nude photos, anything involving creative props, outfits or locations and like to dabble with Photoshop a little too for various tweaks and special effects, still have lots to learn with that though.
I decided to showcase some of my work on model mayhem to obtain some needed feedback and critique of the things I do so I can learn and improve my work over time, also to find anyone in my general area who may wish to pose for me and help each other out with some TFP shoots to benefit both of our portfolios.
