About Me
Van is an award-winning, on-location photographer, experienced in diverse environments, ranging from the fine arts and portraiture to commercial and industrial imaging in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.
He specializes in weddings and events, on-location portraiture, architecture, fine arts stock photography, advertising, night shots, and digital manipulation.
Van has received over 50 awards and honors including 22 ribbons in the 2004-2006 Virginia State Fairs. This included the best overall Black and White photograph of 2005.
His works were featured at the Portlock Galleries at SoNo in May, 2006, and in the Chesapeake Public Library twice during 2005 and 2006, and in the Suffolk Museum in 2007.
His pieces have been published in Parade magazine, WVEC Television, The Virginian-Pilot newspaper, Environmental Protection magazine, A Thailand publication, an EPA newsletter, and a recent book by a prominent author. A joint book is in the planning stages.
