My interest in photography grew from a love of landscape and railways. My dad gave me an old Zeiss Ikon 6x9 cm folding bellows camera that I still have today. Am more or less self taught through years of personal study and experimentation with medium format film cameras. Graduated the traditional route of wedding photography with all the pressures of waiting 24 hrs to see the proofs .. long after the wedding was over, and too late to re-shoot. This, together with my use of medium format cameras imposed a regime of 'getting it right' in camera. I retain the methodical shooting techniques honed over a couple of decades (or more!).

However I've now been seduced by the ease of digital technology and have largely exchanged the smelly and lonely darkroom for the lightroom. However I don't shoot the digital scatter-gun approach and rely on editing software to clean up the mess!

My preference now is for edgy fashion, 30's - 40's glamour style that combines outfits and styling typical of the era. Experimenting with tasteful lingerie and dabbling with tasteful fetish styles also.
