Jenya Meltser

I am an actress and a model. I am originally from Russia and I have been performing for as long as I can remember myself. To me a photograph is not a captured moment in time, it’s life itself, which you can see happening in the expression, in the pose and in the atmosphere. The stage is more of a moment, it is the preparation for the life to follow after the play is over, the life that will be with you after the curtains are down and the lights are off. I have studied the art of theater in Moscow, Mexico, France, Texas, and Boston (where I have also been one of the founders of the Boston Dramatic Theater – a Russian speaking theater company.)

Now, being in New York, I am looking for representation, an agent, and paid work.
I am also always looking to practice my art, so if it is a deep, meaningful play or a movie, I will gladly put all of myself into it. I also do TFP/TFCD.


Special Skills:

Fluency in Russian, English and Spanish; good conversational French; understanding of Italian and Portuguese.
Dialects: Russian, Ukrainian, American English; Spanish, Mexican.
Music: Played violin and piano, familiar with all kinds of musical instruments.
Dance: Ballet, swing, cha-cha, waltz, Russian traditional, modern improvisational choreography.
Singing, reciting poetry, translating, interpreting, scriptwriting, poetry writing, storytelling.
