About Me

I am a full-time professional photographer based in East Berkshire on the border with Surrey and Hampshire, open to working anywhere.

My passion is making great pictures of great women and I have been doing this since 1977 when I was given my first camera.

For my living, I take all sorts of portraits (family and commercial) and also enjoy working with others to create beautiful images of people and I am always looking to experiment with new and creative ideas.

I particularly enjoy working with people to produce images that none of us can do on our own so I am building a small team to work with me on projects. I have a Creative Director who works wonders with clothes, materials and accessories.

I especially enjoy working with new models and walking them through different poses, showing them the results as we go along. We charge £50 to cover costs and will provide five 10x8 prints as well as jpg. Here is feedback from a model I recent worked with,

"Had a Fabulous shoot with John last week. He is a very creative guy lots of ideas and tried some very different looks for a pregnancy shoot as he didnt want the normal bump shots which i thought was very brave and he got some great results. I would highly recommend any model to work with him and i would most definately work with him again. Thanks again John, Charley"

We normally set the studio up in Ascot or Bracknell depending on what we want to shoot and also have portable equipment for locations. I also shoot with natural light which can give some really good results.
