Shirley Newell

I am 41 years young, and am the proud mommy of four biological children! I had a rough time with the fact that I was turning 40 years old...and after some pouting, I decided to look at my 40's as the beginning of the NEW ME, rather than the beginning of the last half of my life! I am a piano instructor, and an interior decorator. Have always wanted to model but never had the confidence. Ironically, now that I am older and HAVE the confidence, I believed that it was too late. I also was diagnosed two years ago with malignant melanoma, and had the circumference of a golf ball removed from my face...crushing any hopes I might have had of modeling. But after some encouragement from friends and family, a wonderful plastic surgeon, and discovering that many agencies have 30+ models, I conquered my fears, and here I am!!! Thank God for commercial modeling and Photoshop!
