My name is Tim Timmermans. Like you, I am interested in creating Art. Art that makes people think. Art that is unique and beautiful in it's own way. I am one of the elite photographers of the Burningman Festival. They send me a free ticket every year just to come out shoot the event from "my" perspective. This was the first year in the last 8 that I wasn't able to attend but I heard from other friends of mine it wasn't the best year.

While I love shooting at burningman, I am having a great time with my new portrait series called "out of darkness". It is literal darkness....not evil darkness... although the series does explore all the emotions, hopes, and fears we hold in our hearts and minds.

As you can see, if you peruse my gallery, the images have a unique look about them. I do not preconceive my characters, rather let the characters emerge during the course of the shoot and in the editing process. You may become an iconic character of myth or lore or you might become something else we haven't yet imagined.

While the subjects are nude, this is NOT pornography or exploitation imagery at all. In addition to experienced professionals who have asked to participate, many of the participants have little or no modeling experience whatsoever. They are just normal people with all kinds of body shapes participating in a pretty cool creative project. You may or may not even be recognizable in the final image depending on what transpires during editing.

I do work on a trade for cd basis exclusively in this manner....
We begin the session by shooting whatever you would like or need for your portfolio. This could be headshots, Glamour nude, or something harder if you need that sort of thing. I just want to get you what you need whatever it is. Obviously you need to sign a release but I am only interested in the shots we shoot for my series. I keep my photography a pure art. I could be shooting headshots or baby pictures or porn but I choose not to.

I am an artist first and foremost and I take my work and my reputation seriously.

Once done with your shoot, we begin my shoot. You will be covered in baby powder (and yes, you may shower after the shoot! lol.)
I may or may not have a character in mind for you but I generally just try to get the most interesting image possible and then work it in post production. I also welcome any ideas you might like to try in the course of the shoot. I welcome improvisation. Everyone I have shot has been blown away with the final images and I hope you will be too if you do me the honor working with me.

I am super easy to work with and get along with. You will find me to be a perfect gentleman, a total professional. I guarantee you lots of laughs, a fun experience and an awesome final image of some kind.
