Photographing models is arguably the most challenging and rewarding area of photography. Learn how to use your “Minds Eye” to spot and photograph the high point in a model within a nanosecond of time. Each of us has our own “Minds Eye” that dictates to us when to squeeze the trigger. That single element is what separates all artists from one another. Lee Brones learned this lesson years ago under his mentors and legendary photographer friends Andre de Dienes, George Hurrell, and Peter Gowland. Professional fashion photographer and author of Pro Techniques Of Artistic Figure Photography, Lee Brones, has teamed up with an extremely experienced fashion model and talented actress, Caitlyn Tyler Cole, in a series of one day photographic workshops. Lee believes in helping his student photographers develop their own style of creative thinking in the art of fashion photography. That's why he refuses to teach formulas, technique yes, formulas never. What works for him will not necessarily work for you and that is as it should be. In the workshops, students will learn how to utilize their “Mind's Eye” to recognize a model's high point of action and capture it. Working with someone as talented and skilled as Caitlyn Tyler Cole you will be given the opportunity to produce some truly amazing images.
The workshop will start at 9 am with a question and answer session where Lee and Caitlyn will determine where each student is at in their skill level. After the question and answer session ends, students will move into a professional studio atmosphere and begin photographing Caitlyn. Next students will move to an outdoor setting and continue filming until sundown. Lee will explain the conceptual lighting process he uses with each setup. You will learn the dynamics of creating mood and award winning compositions with these various lighting techniques. Caitlyn will discuss what a model expects from a photographer while being on set. This knowledge will hopefully instill the necessary confidence in the student photographer to create stronger images and heighten their awareness in the art of photographing an experienced model. Learning how to create brilliant compositions and capturing models at their high point is the difference between taking award winning images or just ordinary photographs. Lee's approach to photography is a proven method for producing amazing images that models, art directors and agencies love. WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING: Bring whatever cameras you are most comfortable using.
Model’s Note: Caitlyn Tyler Cole “Since this is a workshop class and not a commercial shoot, model/photographer agreement forms will be signed by students before the class will be conducted.” Students are expected to be aware of the Model’s comfort zone at all times.

His incredible work has appeared in major Fashion magazines, such as Vogue and Cosmopolitan. Lee is a sought out specialist in the art of photographing women, as can be seen in his best selling book “Pro Techniques of Artistic Figure Photography in 1990.” Lee Brones has been a member of “Magnum” since 1976.
