Nick Souza

Back in 2005, about to graduate from high school, I was in a touring band. Back in that age Myspace was still a thing (before Facebook, Instagram and all these other sites), I decided to buy a cheap inexpensive point and shoot (1.2 megapixels). I used it to take pictures at shows and then later post to Myspace. A later signed up for a semester in Photography at school. This is where I fell in love, I learned the fundamentals of photography with a film camera, the process, the care of each image. I still shoot film from time to time if i'm wanting a certain feel in the image.

After graduating High School I was still in the band. I decided not to pursue college in hopes of being a musician. A year went by and bands broke up, moved on, started families and getting married. They remembered me with my camera at shows, and wondered if I still dabbled; I obliged. Needless to say, I no longer play music, I have found my new passion in Photography.

I'm self-taught, with some help of fellow creatives over a few beers about the various parts of the industry. My work has been described from simple and elegant too Boudoir with some grit. I enjoy my work, and when I enjoy my work, I enjoy what I do.
