I'd not picked up a camera in years until about 2004, but since then I'm rarely without one. I consider myself a keen hobbyist rather than having any genuinely professional ambitions but that might change as I become more adept (and equipped!). I find the personal interaction of portraiture embarrassing and awkward, so I guess I'm here to confront that. I'm interested in the idea of taking shots of people in their own environments of home, work or play, rather than more studio-based work.
