About Me
My name is Denardo Lee Gastin, I'm a Freelance multi-talented artist, as a Graphic Designer, Digital Artist, Photo Editor (mainly high-end retouching), Photographer, Videographer, and Video Editor.
Since childhood, from drawing my favorite cartoon characters or original characters, to now using a computer to digitally draw, Arts and Entertainment has been a passion in my life for 2 decades.
Since 2004, I possess an Associate of Arts Degree in Graphic Design from Bauder College. However, from a gap between 2004 to 2012, I didn't get involved in anything related to my career at all. Due to slackerness, lacking in improving on my creativity, not selling myself, and lack of communication, I abandoned the career and began doing odd jobs from working at a grocery store for 2 years, to currently doing short term/long term Data Entry temporary projects with temp agencies for the past 5 years. It wasn't until January 2012 when I started to really check myself and realizing that I was slowly wrecking myself, and one day when I turned on Photoshop, I did a mini digi-art on a friend for fun, the friend liked it (including few others), and my art interest was reborn again. Since then, I have increased my portfolio with not just artwork and photography, but also I gained a lifetime partnership with a best friend of 7 years, who is also a model and actress in her own right.
*Personal Collaborations So far:*
1# Nyesha Valentin (#34474), is the main model or muse for a majority of my work, since partnering with her in February 2012, in which I serve as her main photo editor, main digital artist, and main video editor. Nyesha has 8 years of modeling experience as of 2013, and I've known her since July 2006. Very professional model with a strong passion for arts and fashion.
2# Frances Gonzales-Chavarria a.k.a. Glamazelle house of Makeup (#2565665), serves as Nyesha's main MUA and Stylist, when Nyesha was an East coast resident. Frances has also recorded video footage from Nyesha's shoots, and since November 2013, I've also made videos on some of Frances' other models she works with. Frances' MUA work is very exquisite, dreamy, delightful, and alluring pieces of work I've ever seen on the female human face.
3# Lee Taylor Smith (#1951068) became my 1st model to work with in person, back in June 2012. To date, we have collaborated in 7 photoshoots throughout 2012, and we are under negotiations to collaborate again, but this time to work professionally, and in serious need to link up with clothing designers, makeup artists, and hair stylists, to improve on our future work together.
