About Me
Welcome to my page. Please take a look and give me your opinion. I'm located in NW Indiana, and shoot both in the studio and on location in and around Chicago, one of the greatest cities in the world to work in. My clients have ranged from Corporate Communications to Advertising, Architectural/Industrial to Fashion, Music, and Editorial. From creating headshots for musicians, actors and industry models, to photos for publications, record companies, music promoters and talent agencies. You can reach me via this site or on Facebook:
http://www.facebook.com/messages/?actio … Grigalunus),
This is where you will find a majority of my commercial/industrial images, along with a few modeling photos. As for the portfolio you see here, this just a small sample of the work I've had the pleasure to have worked on. In regards to Fashion Photography, it's not just about showing how a particular dress, a set of lingerie or other combined pieces will look on a model. It's also about documenting a lifestyle. The clothes we wear not only define who we are, but what we are, and what we are attempting to communicate to others around us. They are an extension of ourselves. So it's always my goal to express those ideas, those thoughts and feelings a client, the clothing designer, or model is striving to express. Over the coming months, a larger number of images from the current book and ongoing photo-shoots will be uploaded her and to Facebook.
Lastly, in regards to collaborations, I'm currently building up my location book and open to working with anyone. But please note that after August 1st, 2012, I will be very limited to the amount of TFP/TFCD I commit to. So if you have an idea or series of photos that you've been desperately wanting to create, now is the time. My turn around time to return professionally edited images to models, MUA's, hair and clothing stylists can be up to four weeks, depending on the workload for any given month. But it is my policy to provide a full CD of professionally edited images from each shoot.
While I have nearly twenty years experience from working in this industry, and believe I can provide some valuable insights and advice, I do not consider myself to be an expert on everything photographic. So I'm always open to receiving feedback and advice. As for my work ethic, my photography has always been and continues to be a significant portion of my income. Consequently, I would like to work with people who come prepared with goals in mind, otherwise we are simply wasting each other's time. Thank you for choosing to look at my profile. I look forward to hearing any ideas, thoughts or suggestions you might have.
Favorite Quotations:
On photography: "The photographerâs most important and likewise most difficult task is not learning to manage his camera, or to develop, or to print. It is learning to see photographically â that is, learning to see his subject matter in terms of the capacities of his tools and processes, so that he can instantaneously translate the elements and values in a scene before him into the photograph he wants to make". Edward Weston.
On personal achievement: "Achievement is not always success, while reputed failure often is. It is honest endeavor, persistent effort to do the best possible under any and all circumstances". Orison Swett Marden
And finally: Taking the cue of a friend, I offer this small slice of wisdom:
When I turn old and gray, I want to be somewhere, where the people accept you just for who you are, not for what you have accomplished. But at the same time, I would like be able to look back on my life with a sense of pride and satisfaction for contributing what little I have discovered, with others.
