My objective is to take fine portraits that are emotionally powerful. He seeks places such as gardens, barns, bed & breakfasts as well as locations that have meaning to a client in order to create a portrait that captures the client’s character and feelings. Matthew develops and prints his own black and white photographs in order to create unique image.



I have always found Matthew Upson to be a reliable
photographer both in terms of his professional approach to models as well as the quality of his work.

He is a very passionate photographer with a great deal of ideas and clear vision of what he is trying to achieve when taking on any project. It is also worth mentioning that he is friendly and open to the models and engenders a warm and conducive atmosphere for work within the studio room.

Matthew was a very easy going photographer. I brought my husband with me and we were both very comfortable (I dont think I needed him actually.) He was always polite and made sure I was enjoying the shoot. I would recommend him as a photographer and as a worthwhile addition to your portfolio.
