A professional Sculptor/Artist trying my hand with photography (I know what youre thinking.."Great...another GWC", not quite)...any criticism is most welcome.Though I have been paid for my images, this is more a hobby...it usually takes 10-100 shots to get one decent one. HOW I WORK: I'll have one or a few very basic concepts for a shoot. These are approached very spontaneously and in a laid back-style which is both enjoyable and relaxed for everyone and I think one can see that in an image....priceless. Im ALWAYS open to a models ideas/viewpoints and really love it when I hear "Lets try this..." etc...so please speak up if you like.
If I'm asking you to shoot, I NEVER ask for TFP. Models can use anything from the shoots for whatever they wish (except for profit) AND you will be paid.
MUA/Hair: I rarely use MUA's (unless the concept demands it) for two reasons. I try to pay the models as much as I possibly can and the models always do a great job with their own hair and makeup.
CONTENT: I have a serious love affair with the human body. EVERYONES body is beautiful and capable of the full range of emotions and infinite concepts. Ive been a professional sculptor for a looong time now and have been moving into the 2-dimensional image of the body and really enjoy the challenges presented. You worry about light, etc in a very different way than if one is sculpting a figure.
Tough as freakin nails or soft as cotton...the body is the greatest of machines...
ESCORTS: I am fine with an escort of course. You can bring SEAL Team VI for all I care but they MUST wait outside the studio until the shoot is over. I am perfectly willing to meet you days in advance of a shoot, and like to do that anyhow, and can provide many references as well. I pay for studio time for myself and the model..... unless the escort is chipping in for time, model fees, equipment costs, they will wait outside. If this is a deal breaker, so be it, but that is how I am comfortable working.
